New York!
Concrete Jungle...
With my course FCP we had the incredible opportunity to visit New York! I have never been to America before and have always dreamed of going. It is incredible, the fast pace way of life, the creativity, the food....is definitely something I could get used to very quickly.
The cafe 'Georges' was one of our favourite discoveries of the trip, they sold the most incredible breakfast; classic American style: stacks of pancakes with lashings of maple syrup and heaps of bacon.
I loved the department stores in New York, Bloomingdales, Macy's and Sacks, I could get lost in them for hours, maybe even days. Another favourite part of New York for me was Times Square , the lights the madness, it was surreal and even better than I anticipated.
Something however which I was not Particularly fond of was the weather. -11 was bitter, we couldn't walk outside for more than 15 minutes (at a push) without having to go into a shop just to thaw out, which was an excuse just to keep refuelled on hot drinks and food and discover quirky Cafes.
The whole experience was incredible and I loved every minute of it and I will make it my mission to return, just maybe with a few more layers....
Here are some photographs I took whilst in New York:
