Perfume brief

We have been given a new brief focusing on perfume, in teams we are to create a new brand of perfume using innovative and fresh ideas that don't already exist in the market.

On Pinterest I have created a board dedicated to perfume, here are some images I find relevant and I feel will be beneficial to the brief. After doing research into Perfume bottle designs and packaging, a simplistic minimal look is something which stands out to me, the classic Chanel bottle is my favourite on the market.

Taste Makers

As a seminar task we were asked to think of our own taste makers, someone who inspires us in a creative way. I chose iconic Photographer Norman Parkinson  and the exquisitely elegant Olivia Palermo.

Norman Parkinson

I have always been obsessed with 1950's photography and style, it has a certain classic and timeless element. Norman Parkinson is one of my favourite photographers from that era. His unique and daring approach to fashion photography was something of a revelation in the world of fashion. Instead of using the conventional studio settings to capture his photographs he took his models into unpredicted settings which made his photos something of an art piece. He injected innovation into fashion photography changing the industry forever.

Olivia Palermo

I adore and obsess over Olivia Palermo's wardrobe and her classic yet daring sense of style. She oozes elegance reminding me of a young Audrey Hepburn with her timeless and fragile look. She isn't afraid to mix bold patterns and colours which is something which has made her become such a style icon. Constantly on best dressed lists as well having front row seats to all major fashion shows she is completely immersed in the fashion industry.
